Scotts-dale Division Site

The Scotts-dale Division operates primarily 6-axle locomotives, with a strong preference for the high adhesion units. Overall the SDD rosters reflects similar proportions of locomotives models as the NS overall. However the ration of 6 and 4 axle units is the exception. While the NS overall has about 75% 6-axle and 25% 4-axle, the SDD has about 90% 6-axle and 10% 4-axle.

Occasionally the Amtrak Cardinal is re-routed over the SDD mainline, so the Amtrak's P42 Genesis units #5 and #52 sometimes can be seen on the SDD.
