Chesapeake LayoutMy model train layout is an small N scale (1:160) layout. It is based on the "Carolina Central" as developed by Model Railroader magazine. For my purposes the track arrangement has been adapted to fit the shorter, but wider table top that I had. Also, the track plan was modified to use Bachmann E-Z TrackŪ. The layout is composed of one main line, with three industrial spurs. Also, there is an interchange track. Hidden at the back of the layout is a two track staging yard. Below is a collage of the railroad. To see a detail of the layout in more detail, click on the area of interest.

This picture shows the pond and railroad crossing scene on the left hand side of the layout. To the right of the pond is the lumber distributor and the start of town. To the left is a farm and the start of the rural areas. This picture is a low angle shot looking across the pond to the country store (which was omitted from the previous photo.) |
